What cooling unit is compatible with data center liquid cooling?
Data center liquid cooling usually matches a variety of cooling equipment to achieve efficient heat management and ensure that servers and IT equipment operate within a safe operating temperature range.
Cooling unit for data center liquid cooling:
Cold Plates: directly attached to the CPU, GPU and other heat-generating components of the server, and remove heat through liquid cooling medium.
Immersion Cooling System: directly immerse the server in non-conductive coolant, and exchange heat through direct contact with the liquid, which is suitable for high-density computing environments.
Indirect Contact Liquid Cooling System: heat is exchanged with the coolant inside the server through an intermediary fluid (such as fluorinated liquid) in a heat exchanger outside the server, and then the intermediary fluid is transferred to the external cooling system.
Coolant Distribution Unit (CDU): responsible for the circulation, filtration, pressure control and possible temperature regulation of the coolant, and is the core component of the liquid cooling system.
Heat Exchanger: used to transfer the heat in the coolant to the external cooling medium, such as water or air, including plate, tube or mixed heat exchangers.
Cooling Tower or Dry Cooler: located at the end of the liquid cooling system, used to discharge the accumulated heat in the heat exchanger to the atmosphere, or complete the heat exchange through the air cooling medium in the dry cooler.
Circulation Pump: promotes the circulation of coolant in the system to ensure the efficiency of heat exchange.
Water Treatment System: used to treat and maintain the purity of the coolant to avoid corrosion and microbial growth.
In summary, whether it is liquid cooling or traditional air cooling system, the selection and configuration of data center cooling equipment are determined by comprehensive consideration of factors such as the scale of the data center, energy consumption requirements, regional climate conditions and business needs.
