Explanation of Abnormal Condenser Temperature of Glycol Chiller
In the glycol chiller, the condenser temperature is the saturation temperature when the refrigerant in the condenser condenses under the steam pressure. Once the condenser temperature in the glycol chiller is abnormal, we should analyze the specific causes and find out the solutions.
The condenser temperature of glycol chiller is low
The low temperature of the condenser of the glycol chiller may be due to the large selection of the expansion valve, the failure of the expansion valve or the excessive opening of the expansion valve, which can not achieve the throttling effect. It may also be that the refrigerant charge of the refrigeration system of the glycol chiller is relatively small, which can not reach the specified amount, or the refrigeration system is lack of corresponding refrigerant.
The condenser temperature of glycol chiller is too high
The main reasons for the high temperature of the condenser of the glycol chiller are: the cooling water (or air) flow of the glycol chiller is small, the temperature is too high, or there is air in the refrigeration system of the glycol chiller, which increases the pressure of the condenser of the glycol chiller. Excessive refrigerant charge and insufficient effective condensation area can also lead to high condenser temperature of glycol chiller. If the condenser is out of repair for a long time and the dirt on the heat transfer surface is serious, it can also lead to the increase of condensation pressure, and the existence of scale also has a great impact on the condensation pressure.
Solution to high or low condenser temperature of glycol chiller
The higher or lower condenser temperature of glycol chiller will lead to abnormal compressor exhaust temperature and reduced output coefficient, so as to reduce the refrigeration capacity and increase the power consumption of the compressor. If the exhaust temperature of glycol chiller is too high, the consumption of compressor lubricating oil will be increased and the oil will become thin.
When the exhaust temperature is close to the flash point of compressor oil, some lubricating oil will be carbonized and accumulated at the suction and exhaust valve ports, affecting the tightness of the valve. At this time, it is necessary to reduce the temperature of the cooling medium to reduce the condensation temperature and the condensation pressure, but this is limited by environmental conditions and is difficult to choose artificially.
Increasing the flow of cooling medium can reduce the condensation temperature a little, but it can not unilaterally increase the flow of cooling water or air, because it will increase the power of cooling water pump, fan and motor. It should be comprehensively considered that high exhaust pressure will increase the compression work and reduce the gas transmission coefficient, so as to reduce the refrigeration efficiency. The condenser temperature of glycol chiller is closely related to the smooth operation of glycol chiller, so users should solve it in time if they find that the condenser temperature is abnormal.
